Feeling defeated, he turns around and leaves the spot.
As the scene shifts, the village of Kallari comes alive with grand Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Mallar warmly offers prashad to Jia and her family members. Amidst the festive chants, Srijha steps forward and cordially invites Dev and his family to visit the community pandal for Ganesh Pooja. The festive backdrop provides a stark contrast to the simmering tension between the lead pair.
Jia’s Innocent Interrogation
During the celebrations, young Jia poses a deep philosophical question. She asks Shristi and Dev if Lord Ganesh gets upset with his devotees for a long time. Dev answers thoughtfully. He tells Jia that if a person makes a mistake worthy of forgiveness, Bappa will forgive them. If not, He will bestow virtuous intellect and show them the right path. Shristi adds that everyone in life deserves a second chance.
Seizing the moment, Jia asks Shristi and Dev why they cannot give each other a second chance. Dev defends himself, stating that they are mature adults with the legal and personal right to make their own choices. Dev passes a sharp comment on Jia’s inquisitiveness. Overwhelmed and emotional, Shristi abruptly leaves the gathering.
3. Act 2: Shocking Revelations & Emotional Turmoil
Following her exit, Shristi finds a moment alone. Dev approaches her and thanks her for taking his side in front of inquisitive little Jia. The drama then moves into the kitchen as Shristi prepares to cook her ‘Pehla Rasoi’. She faces an immediate roadblock because she does not know how to make traditional desserts. However, the moment Shristi calls out for help, he immediately rushes to her rescue.
The Pehla Rasoi Milk Crisis
Soon, Mishri and numerous villagers arrive at Dev’s house one by one. They discover that Shristi is preparing tea for her customary Pehla Rasoi ritual. Excited by the news, everyone eagerly asks Shristi for a steaming cup of tea. Shristi panics and complains to Dev that there is simply not enough milk in the house to serve tea to so many guests. Jia instantly points out the severe milk shortage to Dev as well.
Just when tension peaks, Mallar enters Dev’s house carrying fresh milk. He steps up and cheerfully asks for his cup of tea. Shristi breathes a sigh of relief and gets back to brewing the tea for the entire village.
4. Act 3: High-Voltage Climax & Turning Point
The tea is finally served to all the gathered villagers. As expected in TV drama tropes, everyone takes a sip and immediately starts pointing out minor flaws in Shristi’s tea preparation. Witnessing this unwarranted criticism, Dev loses his temper. He gets highly upset with the villagers’ insensitive behaviour.
Dev stands tall and defends his wife. He tells the villagers that his wife, Shristi, makes the best tea ever. He calls out their hypocrisy for pointing out flaws despite her putting in the effort to brew tea for every single person present. Dev’s fierce support leaves the villagers stunned. Realizing their mistake, the villagers quickly apologise to Dev and Shristi for their harsh comments.
Later in the day, the atmosphere turns celebratory. The villagers present ‘Shagun’ to Dev and Shristi to bless her Pehla Rasoi. Senior family member Hina performs the ritual of warding off the evil eye on Shristi and Dev to protect their bond.
