New York Fashion Week is now finished, and as a result, we’re going through our endless camera reels, wistfully reminiscing about the costumes we saw on the runway and the meticulous ensembles we donned. Even though editors were on the sidelines of the runway, our attire was no less eye-catching because NYFW is practically our Super Bowl.

The editors of Hypebae were fortunate enough to wear some of our favourite brands, like Marshall Columbia and Mudd Pearl. The knit halter top by Veceur can be dressed up or down with ease for daytime presentations and late-night after-parties due to its sleek silhouette and versatile materials.

In addition, the New York-based ethical brand Buci helped us look our best, since the women-owned label’s lively and youthful dresses were a must-have for the Mirror Palais presentation. Our social media manager, Raissa, wore EB Denim’s texturally layered micro miniskirts as a top in the early 2000s, sharing, “EB Denim, a Los Angeles-born brand, kept the early 2000s feverish with its tiny miniskirts.” “It’s very flattering and enjoyable! It fit like a glove.”

She also wore Tank Air and spoke highly of the brand’s attention to quality and fit, noting, “Tank Air is, without exaggeration, the only other brand I need in my closet except The Row. Unmatched is the confidence I feel knowing it will fit me perfectly and that I can recommend it to my plus-size friends. The tops feel exceptionally well-fitted to me, which is significant for bustier women.” “At first, the material worried me, but I was pleasantly delighted by how it caressed my body and accentuated my contours,” continues A. Roege Hove’s admirer.

Tae Park provided women with exquisite, minimalist skirts that made them feel wonderful. The brand’s signature pieces would benefit from extended sizes for a more accommodating fit. Fortunately, Blobb and Mudd Pearl provided eye-catching jewellery. Ashlyn, our social media coordinator, can verify that Mudd Pearl is known for its nostalgic and mermaid-approved design because Barbie Ferriera wore it. She exclaims, “They add a new dimension to the classic pearl, which is a standard in coastal fashion.” Blobb’s chunky and whimsical rings are the perfect accessory to bring out your inner child.
