The episode opens with a character who looks exactly like Daniel, but he’s been in deep-freeze for seven years. He is awoken by the notoriously sketchy Dr. Victor Crnkovich, who calls him “Troy.” It turns out, Troy is a leader in Silo 1, and he’s being defrosted because something has gone terribly wrong in one of the other silos.
The core mystery deepens as Victor plays audio recordings of a young Jimmy—the boy who will eventually become Solo (played by Steve Zahn).
