🌱 Early Life & Career Beginnings
Born on October 14, 1983 , in Chandigarh , Wamiqa Gabbi grew up in a Punjabi household with deep roots in the arts. Her father, Jaswinder Gabbi , is a well-known Punjabi singer and actor, which gave Wamiqa early exposure to the entertainment world.
She initially pursued a degree in Fashion Technology from NIFT, but her passion for performance soon took center stage. Her first foray into the limelight came through music videos , where she appeared in several popular Punjabi songs like “Gurbani” and “Yaar Di Ghar Waliye.”
These appearances caught the attention of regional filmmakers, and it wasn’t long before Wamiqa transitioned to Punjabi cinema .
