📺 Digital Debut: Netflix’s Cobalt Blue
In 2022, Wamiqa made her mainstream Hindi debut with the critically acclaimed Netflix film “Cobalt Blue” , based on the novel of the same name by Sachin Kundalkar .
The film revolves around two siblings who fall in love with the same mysterious lodger. Wamiqa played the role of Tanaya , the younger sister, and delivered a nuanced performance that resonated deeply with viewers.
“I wanted to do something challenging, and Tanaya gave me that opportunity. It was a dream project,” she said in an interview.
While the film didn’t set the box office on fire, it received positive reviews and marked Wamiqa’s arrival on the pan-Indian digital stage.
